Originally designed in October 2013. Hearing about the news of independent gaming; on consoles going on the horizon. Was the inspiration to develop an indie console as well. Immediately following the discovery of the Ouya. Long term financial planning, began and personal time was put into developing and understanding the mechanics for long term console.

Heavily influenced by others to create a Kickstarter or Patreon for the project, it was highly rejected as it felt more appropriate to develop our project with money we earned on our own instead of taking money from others to create something they'll possibly hate and or will feel we cheated them out of their promised interest. Being personally funded from 2013 until it reached it's financial quota in November 2017. the Development of "Lunar Eclipse" was announced in small spurts. 

 

The project news was public on November 15th, with the announcement that the development quota requirement has successfully been met! Immediately following that. A dedicated Discord server was made, as well as a couple following questions regarding the system was answered as part of a long string of FAQs.
